FPA: Sneak Peek
Rated 5 / 5 stars February 28, 2011
The graphic's aren't amazing
But the fluidity of your animation is stunning.
It made me love the game when I first played it, and it makes me love it tenfolds now.
Thank you. And kudos.
Launch To The Moon

Needs more clean up.
This game has potential, but there are a lotta things you need to really clean up.
1. Clean up your composition.
-The boy on the side is absolutely distracting and completely necessary, and quite a horrific example of composition for the game.
2. Larger Size
It was hard to see that I was collecting coins, and the whole entire thing was extremely small.
3. Lack of difficulty/Odd velocity
The boy never went really any faster, it had an odd "fast" and then it slowed down a bit and then fast again, and it didn't even seem like my jetpack was working in making things faster. It was absolutely much too easy.
This really could've been a great and very appealing game, it just needs more polish. You chose a very safe style of gameplay, but part of selling such a simplistic game is its packaging. Not even asking for complicated graphics, but just clean up of what you have.
Hope to see you keep trying, you've got great potential, just don't rush the end clean up.
The Scale of the Universe
Rated 5 / 5 stars January 27, 2010
Fascinating, to say the least.
I always knew the universe was vast, though I never knew details of it, but to put it in such words (not too interested in numbers sadly), with the simplistic visual aids, it's just overwhelming to see all that.
It strikes great curiosity in me.
While I was looking at this, I was like "Why the hell do people care about how we're made? Why don't we care more about things that are already made but we haven't seen yet?"

calming darkness
this barely reminds me of a cat lol nice...it sorta makes me feel as if i'm in darkness but drifting up and down...has a nice calming feel even in the darkest hours..if i ever learn to make flash movies i might just use this =) for those dark scenes lol
Well my girlfriend found a cat she named lbc, and I thought it was evil, so I made the song dark and evil. I hope you learn how to make flash movies!

Now THAT'S what I call animation...
I give kudos to you for actually animating. The camera angles/pans/zooms with the animation of the action is amazing.
I just have a problem with the walk/run cycles and, just overall, sometimes the characters were really well done/detailed, and other times it seemed way out of proportion. I know that animating a character without having it shift and boil is difficult, but it'll come with practice.
Overall, I love this. You had more animation in there and a lot less flash tweens than I see most top rated flash here have. I salute you.
My 3 year in the camp of the animation, i am a beginner , is a funny hobby, like play tekken 6 or metal gear solid 4 online

Why...
Why would an illustration class ask for an animation is beyond me...aside from "drawing", they're completely different things.
Anyways, your first flash is pretty good..the drawings are nice and very well done, I must say. Use of camera angles, zoom in and all that is very well thought out.
As an animation though...it's lacking. Dialogue is off sync sometimes, walk cycle is awkward, even if you don't see the legs, and there's actually very little animation, apart from the flash tweens used.
As an illustrator, I think you're brilliant, as an animator, I'd encourage you to work on it (if you want to).
Story was adorable and I smiled.

Awesomeeeeee
I love the way you made the characters out to be...definitely different and a bit far from the original aside from their hands, but overall, the whole mushroom (burger) and fireplant (weed) and just the rendition of Bowser and everyone gave a really awesome twist to the whole thing.
As some people have mentioned, sometimes a few more frames in some places. It may be your style, but Bowser was done so beautifully and smoothly, then choppy walks and jumps sorta throw you off.
I love it though, if that's your style of animating, then let it be yours :D There has definitely always been awesome limited animation. I can't wait to see more from you :]
